Why we do it this way

Affiliate income helps us keep AI Fluent running as a free, independent resource. We don’t charge for our guides, reviews, or tools — and we’d like to keep it that way. Affiliate partnerships let us do that without compromising our editorial independence.

Our editorial standards

Every tool review and recommendation on AI Fluent follows the same process, regardless of whether an affiliate partnership exists:

  • We research each tool using publicly available information, user reviews, official documentation, and AI-assisted analysis against a consistent set of criteria we’ve developed for UK small businesses
  • We evaluate it specifically for UK small businesses — not enterprise users or US-centric workflows
  • We’re honest about limitations, pricing (in £, including VAT where applicable), and whether cheaper or free alternatives exist
  • We update our content regularly to reflect changes in pricing, features, and market conditions
